Botlierskop Private Game Reserve | Garden Route Accommodation

The Botlierskop Private Game Reserve is located in the heart of the Garden Route area and is a mere stones throw away from the seaside town of Mossel Bay. Botlierskop is home to a spectacular display of wildlife that roam freely throughout the diverse habitats created by the reserve. Guests to the reserve are able to enjoy close encounters with rhinoceras, lion, buffalo, giraffe, rare black impala and prolific birdlife. 4x4 game drives, adventurous quad biking, elephant back safaris and spectacular vantage points from a helicopter can all be enjoyed at Botlierskop.

Enjoy the ultimate safari as you are transported to your luxurious riverside tent by boat. Disembark onto your own private jetty and wind your way towards your luxurious colonial style safari tent. All luxury tents are equipped with en suite bathrooms, deep baths and outdoor showers for the brave guests. All suites are fully equipped with mini bar, telephone, personal ranger services and their own private jetty where guests are able to try their hand at fishing.

The fireplace restaurant provides guests with authentic South African meals served in ambient settings. Guests are able to choose from a variety of meats including impala and crocodile that are cooked to perfection on an open fire or grill in front of you! There is also a wonderful display of salads and other greenery to accompany your meat dishes.

• HOW TO GET THERE

  Stay on the N2 from Cape Town and pass the Hartenbos exit number 397. Take the Klein Brakriver/Little Brak River turn off (this is exit number 401). Turn left at the Stop street and carry on until you reach a T junction, which lies roughly 500 m away. Follow the Botlierskop signboard that contains a lion footprint and turn right and drive for 4 km which takes you over a causeway. Go over this causeway and turn right at the brown Botlierskop signboard onto Gannakraal road. Turn right after the earth dam sign and see Botlierskop outlined by a white pillar gate.
